Does Your Website Need a Domain or Hosting Too?

If your site already runs on a platform such as Lovable or Vercel, you usually only need a domain to connect it. If you are exporting the project to run elsewhere, check its requirements before buying hosting.

Choose the situation that matches your project

1. Your site is published on a platform and needs your own address: confirm your plan supports a custom domain, then register and connect it.
2. You will run a WordPress site or store yourself: you need hosting that supports WordPress and its database.
3. You have exported source code: ask the developer how it runs and which services it depends on.

Before we recommend an IT PLUS plan

Share a preview link or project description, the platform name, and whether you want to keep the site there or move it. If you have a developer, ask for the runtime requirements. Do not send secret keys or passwords.

Also decide who will handle updates, backups and troubleshooting. A VPS offers more control but needs administration; it is not the default choice for every website.

Costs to compare

Include domain registration and renewal, the platform or hosting subscription, and external services the project needs. Domain registration does not automatically include Lovable fees, server management or project migration.
