Connect a Domain to Lovable: What You Need First

If your site is published on Lovable, you usually need a domain and a paid Lovable plan that supports custom domains. You do not need a second hosting plan just to change the address.

Before you register

Have your preferred name and access to the Lovable project ready. Publish the project and check your plan supports custom domains. The Lovable subscription is not included in the domain fee.

Connect in four steps

1. Open your Lovable project, then Settings → Domains, and choose to connect a domain you own.
2. Enter the domain and copy the A and TXT records displayed for your project.
3. Open the domain’s record manager. Add each record using the type, name and value from Lovable.
4. Return to Lovable to check verification, then open your site.

Where do the records go?

Open the account where you registered your domain, then its Nameservers settings. These identify the provider that manages your website and email records. If IT PLUS manages those records, open your account → Domains → your domain → DNS management. If another provider manages them, add the records there. If you are unsure, ask support to check your domain before changing anything.

Keep existing email records. Do not delete all records or replace nameservers just to connect a website. Copy values from your own project; do not reuse a server address from an article or another customer’s project.

If the site still does not open

Try both example.com and www.example.com, then check from a second network. Changes may appear in minutes or hours, but cached records can take 24–48 hours or longer. Waiting will not fix an incorrect value. Check the platform’s verification status and secure connection certificate.

What do you pay for?

Your domain fee is separate from any platform subscription. Review registration, renewal and term before paying. IT PLUS supports EGP payment through Vodafone Cash or InstaPay; registration is processed after payment review and confirmation. A name is not reserved just because search shows it as available.
