Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital App — A specialized

Healthcare Wayfinding mobile application we designed

and developed at IT PLUS as the official app for the

largest government hospital in the Middle East,

ranked 6th globally by area (720,000 m²). Built as

the smart digital guide for every visitor, patient,

and staff member.

About the Project

The Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital App represents one of

the largest projects we've developed at IT PLUS,

and a government-sector project demonstrating our

ability to serve clients meeting international

standards. The app was designed to solve a real

challenge: navigating inside a massive 720,000 m²

hospital reaching 65 meters in height — via a smart

interactive map and advanced search system that

helps anyone find their destination in seconds.

Technical Challenges We Solved

Building an Indoor Navigation app inside a 720,000 m²

hospital is fundamentally different from any standard

GPS app. GPS doesn't work indoors, so we built an

Indoor Positioning System (IPS) from scratch. At

IT PLUS, we developed a smart indoor mapping system,

integration with reference points inside the building,

and pathfinding algorithms calculating the shortest

route between any two points — all while ensuring

the high speed and stability a sensitive healthcare

facility requires.
